A. ecstasy.
B. acid.
C. angel dust.
Answer
PCP is more commonly known as angel dust.
PCP is more commonly known as phencyclidine. It is a dissociative anesthetic drug that was first developed in the 1950s. It has been used in both human and veterinary medicine but was taken off the market in 1965 due to concerns about its psychological effects.
Phencyclidine is classed as a hallucinogen because it can cause users to see or hear things that aren’t there. These hallucinations can be very frightening and may persist long after the drug has worn off. In addition, PCP can also cause agitation, violence, and suicidal thoughts.
As with all drugs, there are risks associated with taking phencyclidine. These include overdose, which can lead to coma or death, and long-term mental health problems such as schizophrenia.
Although PCP is a noncompetitive NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptor antagonist and glutamate receptor antagonist, it also has an affinity for other receptors, including dopamine, opioid, and nicotinic systems.
