B. Pupils dilate
During the FoF-R, pupils dilate to let in more light & improve vision
-The Sympathetic NS stimulates adrenaline release (increasing oxygen, glucose, and energy.
-Digestive & urinary systems are suppressed
-Increased: heart rate, respiratory rate, glycogen break down, blood glucose, tremors & sweating
-Relaxed intestines & bladder
-Dilated bronchi (increasing respiratory rate to ensure sufficient O2 supply)
Heart rate INCREASES during FoF response
Glycogenesis reduces – more glycogen are broken don (glycogenolysis) to increase glucose levels int he blood & ensure supply of energy for FoF-R
