A. Glaciers
The North European Plain has been shaped significantly by glaciers during the last ice age. As these glaciers advanced and retreated, they carved out valleys and deposited sediments, which created the flat and fertile landscape we see today. This glacial activity is primarily responsible for the extensive plains and rolling hills in the region.
