The Earth provides humans with renewable and nonrenewable resources. Natural substances such as coal, natural gas, and oil are considered fuels and are nonrenewable resources. This means that they cannot be easily replenished. Meanwhile, resources such as sunlight, water, crops, and wind can be easily replenished. The use of both renewable and nonrenewable resources can cause the of habitats, however, renewable resources overall have fewer negative impacts. The extraction and use of resources can also cause air pollution and climate change due to an increase in gases in the atmosphere.
