To calculate the minimum, first quartile, median, and third quartile of a data set, follow these steps:
1. Minimum: This is the smallest value in your data set.
2. First Quartile (Q1): This is the median of the lower half of the data set (not including the overall median if the number of observations is odd).
3. Median: This is the middle value of the ordered data set. If there is an even number of observations, it’s the average of the two middle values.
4. Third Quartile (Q3): This is the median of the upper half of the data set (again, not including the overall median if odd).
Make sure to first arrange your data in ascending order before calculating these values. If you would like to understand this process better or require in-depth assistance, feel free to check the extended services page!
