A) Civil Rights Movement
Two significant civil rights activists are Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks. Martin Luther King Jr. is known for his role in advancing civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs and the nonviolent activism of Mahatma Gandhi. Rosa Parks is famously known for her pivotal role in the Montgomery Bus Boycott after she refused to give up her bus seat to a white passenger, which became a catalyst for the civil rights movement. Their efforts were essential in challenging racial segregation and fighting for equal rights for African Americans.
