It’s easy for small dogs to get lost amongst much larger dogs. At Camp Doggy, we do everything we can to make sure that this doesn’t happen to our small friends. One way that we protect small dogs is by having them wear life jackets when we play at the lake. These life jackets are neon, which allows us to see them easily. It also protects them from being pushed under water by big dogs.
Here is what a typical day at Camp Doggy will look like for your pooch: In the morning, they will go to the cafeteria and have home-made bacon and pancakes. After breakfast, they will be able to enjoy the beach on the lake until it’s lunch time. For lunch, they will receive the meat-of-the-day. Once they’re fueled up, they will go for their daily hike and agility training. After dinner and dessert (peanut butter cake) they will be put into the cabins to watch a movie and then eventually fall asleep.
Allowing your dog to spend a week away from you to spend time with other dogs has many positive benefits. For example, socialization effects a dog’s temperament. The more a dog is given time with other dogs, the better behaved it will be around you and your family.
